From the no. 1 New York Times bestselling author of The Husband's Secret, Big Little Lies and new novel Apples Never Fall."I'll tell you something, something important. Love is a decision. Not a feeling. That's what you young people don't realise. That's why you're always off divorcing each other. No offence, dear."
So decrees the formidable Connie Thrum of Scribbly Gum Island. She is the chief decision-maker of a rather unconventional family and her word is law.
It's been over seventy years since Connie and her sister Rose visited their neighbours and found the kettle boiling and a baby waking for her feed, but no sign of her parents. The Munro Baby Mystery still hasn't been solved and tourists can visit the abandoned home, exactly as it was found in 1932.
But now Connie has passed away and the island residents ponder her legacy. Sophie Honeywell is looking down the barrel of her fortieth birthday and still hoping for that fairytale ending. Her beautiful new friend Grace, the Munro Baby's granddaughter, can't tell anyone what she hopes for. It would be too shocking.
Meanwhile, a frumpy housewife makes a pact with a stranger, an old lady starts making her own decisions and a family secret finally explodes on an extraordinary night of mulled wine, fire-eating and face-painting-the Last Anniversary.
Fans of Jojo Moyes, Jodi Picoult and Paula Hawkins will love Liane Moriarty.

Amazing Read!
I think I’ve read all of Liane’s books, but this one is my favourite. A crazy and sweet page turner with surprises right till the end. Thank you Liane, for such a perfect book!

I do not understand how this author is as popular as she is. This was a childish and idiotic story. I seriously cannot believe this garbage was even published.

The last anniversary
I was really looking forward to hearing this book after three wishes. I’m not happy though as the reader seems like she’s on a quick schedule and is reading at a great speed😕 Sounds ridiculous.

Deep & Dramatic Page turner!
Adored this story! Slightly confusing initially trying to connect all the characters, but a beautifully touching read with many deep, thought provoking themes. Definitely recommend this one!

Easy Escape
A little confusing at first (trying to keep up with all the characters) but once you've figured it all out, the story unfolds nicely. A very easy read.

The Last Anniversary
I have read four of Liane Moriarty's books to date and the Last Anniversary was as entertaining as the rest! One has to try so hard to go slow to save some of the story for the next day, very difficult, as you really want to race to the end for the outcome of each mystery! My only regret is that I have only one book to go! Liane's disarming sense of humour and insight into the vagaries of human nature is so easy to relate to, we all have those delightfully perverse thoughts from time to time! It is a stress buster to be able to sit down and have a hearty chuckle, so helpful to understand that we are not completely alone with our more radical thoughts! I can hardly wait until Liane has written another book, hoping also that it stays with an adult theme. It is only a matter of time before someone decides to turn one of the books into a transcript for a movie, here I think The Husband's Secret would be ideal! The Last Anniversary has enough mystery and different chapters to make a delightful mini series! Brilliant work Liane, congratulations!
